Mackay Christian Care

Loving our city

The following are a few of our current community involvements.

MC Care Counselling Service

MC Care is a community counselling service for individuals and families, covering grief and loss, depression and anxiety, relationships & more.

For more information about this service or for any general enquiries, please email Ps Kerry.

The Green Van

As of October 18 2018, we kicked off a weekly, after-school feed for hundreds of Mackay North State High school kids.

The van has provided a great connection with local police officers, as well as other amazing local community services such as Orange Sky (the local van offering free laundry and shower service to the needy) and The Salvation Army.

Our prayer is to continue bringing the love of Jesus to our city with action! Including serving more schools as well as CBD ventures. So anything is possible for 2019.

Women’s Shelter

Throughout the year, our MCF women lovingly create beautiful hampers and gifts for women in difficult circumstances.

Primary and High School Chaplains

We have a number of Primary and High School Chaplains who make a difference in the lives of hundreds of young people through breakfast programs, chapel services, religious instruction in State schools and Connect Groups.

Red Frogs University

Some of our young adults are involved in serving students at the CQUniversity campus through Red Frogs Australia.

Adopt-A-Family Christmas Appeal

Last year we partnered with Church of Christ Care to provide Christmas hampers for foster care children and their families who were doing it tough in the festive season.
