Time Alone with God
One of the great things about God is that He has a destiny of greatness for us, He wants us to be to successful and that we would find favour in life. We we get saved we aren’t just alone. The Holy Spirit is right there with us – everyday and everywhere we go. In every decision you make, God wants to help you. he want to help us in all that we can do. He wants a relationship that can help us to mature and grow in our life.
God wants to speak to you everyday. Our challenge is to listen. This is an opportunity to develop that skill.
Get Ready to here from God – Read the Word – Respond to what God has placed in your heart from those scriptures – Record all this in the journal using the S.O.A.P. layout
S.O.A.P.
S – Scripture
Write the scripture down that stands out the most from all those that God has been speaking to you about.
O – Observations
Write down observations that you want to make about the scripture. What is it that made it alive to you? As you become more familiar with scripture, you will see how that theme links in with other scriptures, write these down.
A – Application
Now transfer these observations into application for your life. You must ask the question “How will I be different from what I have just read?”. Look for ways in which the Holy Spirit is speaking to you right now, it might be something really simple – apply it and see the difference it makes.
P – Prayer
When we write prayers down, genuine expressions flow from our hearts, not just application from our head. Prayers can help us in unlocking the character in which we learny the lesson.
